Saudi Arabia: Inflation decelerates in February from January
Latest reading: Consumer prices rose 1.7% on a year-on-year basis in February, following a 1.8% rise in the previous month. February’s reading was the weakest since February 2025.
Relative to the prior month’s figures, there were reduced price pressures for food and non-alcoholic beverages (0.0% in annual terms vs +0.2% in January), clothing and footwear (0.0% vs +0.5% in January), housing and utilities (+4.1% vs +4.2% in January), transport (+1.4% vs +1.5% in January) and recreation and entertainment (+1.8% vs +2.3% in January).
Lastly, consumer prices increased 0.04% in February on a month-on-month basis, following a 0.16% increase in the prior month.
