Cyprus: Industrial production slows in February
Latest reading: Industrial production increased 0.8% in calendar-adjusted year-on-year terms in February, following a 5.4% increase in the prior month. February’s reading was the weakest since June 2025.
Relative to the prior month’s data, readings in February worsened for manufacturing (+3.4% in calendar-adjusted year-on-year terms vs +4.0% in January) and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (-12.7% vs +18.6% in January). In contrast, the reading for mining and quarrying improved in February (+1.0% vs -13.1% in January).
On a calendar and seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis, industrial production declined 1.6% in February, following a 2.0% increase in the previous month.
