Czech Republic: Industrial production falls in March
Latest reading: Industrial production was down 0.2% on a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis in March, following 1.3% growth in the previous month.
Relative to the prior month’s data, readings in March worsened for manufacturing (-0.3% on a seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis vs +2.0% in February) and mining and quarrying (+1.0% vs +1.6% in February). In contrast, the reading for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply improved in March (-0.4% vs -5.6% in February).
On a working-day adjusted year-on-year basis, industrial production increased 0.9% in March, following a 1.3% rise in the previous month.
