Sweden: Industrial production shrinks in March
Latest reading: Industrial production—excluding energy—declined 1.5% in calendar- and seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms in March, following a 4.6% rise in the prior month.
Relative to the previous month’s figures, readings in March softened for manufacturing (-1.3% on a calendar- and seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis vs +4.7% in February) and mining (-10.4% vs +1.6% in February).
On a working-day adjusted year-on-year basis, industrial production was up 3.5% in March, following a 6.6% increase in the previous month.
