Hungary: Industrial production falls in February
Latest reading: Industrial production declined 1.3% on a year-on-year basis in February, following a 0.2% increase in the previous month.
Relative to the previous month’s figures, readings in February worsened for manufacturing (-0.9% on a year-on-year basis vs +0.1% in January) and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning (-10.1% vs +6.4% in January). In contrast, the reading for mining and quarrying improved in February (-6.5% vs -31.1% in January).
In seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms, industrial production fell 1.8% in February, following 1.5% growth in the prior month.
