Serbia: Economic sentiment improves in July
Latest reading: Economic sentiment rose to 98.6 in July, following June’s 90.2. The latest reading was below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the economy and the highest since January 2025.
In July, sentiment brightened in the industrial sector (+0.3 vs -4.3 in June), the services sector (+5.7 vs -1.8 in June) and among consumers (-2.4 vs -4.3 in June). In contrast, sentiment darkened in the construction sector (-6.5 vs -6.2 in June) and the retail sector (+6.8 vs +7.1 in June).
