Slovenia: Inflation eases in March from the prior month
Latest reading: Harmonized consumer prices increased 2.4% in annual terms in March, following a 2.8% rise in the prior month.
Relative to the prior month’s data, there were reduced price pressures for food and non-alcoholic beverages (+2.8% in annual terms vs +3.9% in February), housing and utilities (+5.9% vs +10.6% in February) and recreation (+1.4% vs +1.7% in February). In contrast, there were higher price pressures for transportation (-1.7% vs -3.2% in February) and restaurants and hotels (+4.5% vs +3.9% in February).
Meanwhile, consumer prices rose 2.5% in March, following a 2.9% increase in the prior month.
Finally, harmonized consumer prices increased 0.45% in March in month-on-month terms, following a 0.65% rise in the prior month.
