Spain: Industrial production recovers in March
Latest reading: Industrial production was up 2.3% on a working-day and seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis in March, following a 0.1% decline in the prior month. March’s reading was the strongest since April 2022.
Relative to the prior month’s figures, readings in March improved for consumer goods (+1.7% on a working-day and seasonally adjusted month-on-month basis vs +1.5% in February), capital goods (+2.9% vs +0.5% in February), intermediate goods (+3.1% vs +0.3% in February) and energy (+1.9% vs -4.1% in February).
On a working-day and seasonally adjusted year-on-year basis, industrial production increased 1.8% in March, following a 0.9% decline in the previous month.
