Spain: Merchandise trade deficit shrinks in February
Latest reading: In February, the trade balance was EUR -3.3 billion, following a EUR -4.0 billion reading in the previous month. This marked the smallest deficit since May 2025. Over the last 12 months, the trade balance summed to EUR -54.7 billion.
Merchandise exports declined 0.5% in seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms in February, following a 4.2% increase in the previous month. Merchandise imports increased 2.0% in seasonally adjusted month-on-month terms in February, coming on the back of a 3.2% rise in the previous month.
