Sweden: Economic sentiment worsens in April
Latest reading: Economic sentiment fell to 98.7 in April, following March’s 99.8. The latest reading was below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the economy and the lowest since September 2025.
In April, sentiment worsened in the industrial sector (-0.7 vs +0.2 in March), the construction sector (-5.5 vs -2.8 in March) and among consumers (-7.3 vs -4.5 in March). However, sentiment brightened in the services sector (+22.7 vs +20.4 in March) and the retail sector (+23.4 vs +15.4 in March).
