Turkey: Economic sentiment falls in March
Latest reading: Economic sentiment went down to 96.1 in March, following February’s 100.9. The latest reading was below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the economy. The figure was the lowest since September 2024.
In March, sentiment darkened in the industrial sector (-2.1 vs +2.0 in February), the construction sector (-18.8 vs -15.0 in February), the services sector (+18.5 vs +20.9 in February), the retail sector (+13.6 vs +15.1 in February) and among consumers (-15.4 vs -14.9 in February).
