Inflation stabilizes in March
Latest reading: Consumer prices rose 1.7% in annual terms in March, stable from the prior month's reading. Inflation was led by higher transport and utility costs—driven in part by the Iran war. In contrast, durable good and clothing costs fell. Finally, consumer prices were stable in March on a month-on-month basis, following a 0.45% increase in the prior month.
