Finland: Economic sentiment falls in April
Latest reading: Economic sentiment went down to 94.3 in April, following March’s 94.5. The latest reading was below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the economy and the lowest since June 2025.
In April, sentiment worsened in the construction sector (-18.5 vs -14.9 in March) and among consumers (-12.6 vs -11.4 in March). On the flipside, sentiment brightened in the industrial sector (+2.0 vs +0.9 in March), the services sector (+0.3 vs -1.3 in March) and the retail sector (+11.9 vs -5.6 in March).
