Latvia: Economic sentiment falls below threshold in April
Latest reading: Economic sentiment declined to 98.0 in April, following March’s 100.8. The latest reading was below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the economy and was the lowest since August 2025.
In April, sentiment worsened in the industrial sector (-3.6 vs -3.0 in March), the construction sector (-4.5 vs -3.6 in March), the services sector (+1.5 vs +4.2 in March), the retail sector (+1.4 vs +3.2 in March) and among consumers (-15.6 vs -9.3 in March).
