Slovakia: Economic sentiment increases in April
Latest reading: Economic sentiment went up to 94.2 in April, following March’s 92.3. The latest reading was below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the economy.
In April, sentiment improved in the industrial sector (+3.2 vs +0.5 in March), the services sector (+2.8 vs -4.3 in March) and the retail sector (-2.4 vs -4.6 in March). In contrast, sentiment darkened in the construction sector (-4.4 vs -3.9 in March). Sentiment in among consumers was unchanged from March at -25.4.
