Slovenia: Economic sentiment falls in April
Latest reading: Economic sentiment fell to 94.8 in April, following March’s 98.2. The latest reading was the lowest since November 2023 and below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the economy.
In April, sentiment darkened in the industrial sector (-8.8 vs -7.9 in March), the construction sector (+6.2 vs +6.6 in March), the retail sector (+1.4 vs +14.5 in March) and among consumers (-30.8 vs -23.0 in March). However, sentiment improved in the services sector (+14.6 vs +14.1 in March).
