Cocoa prices averaged USD 3,595 per metric ton in February, down 28.4% from January. On 27 February, the commodity traded at USD 3,041 per metric ton, down 26.7% from 30 January.
In February, cocoa prices retreated for the second consecutive month, falling to their lowest average since August 2023. Favorable weather conditions in West Africa supported the supply outlook, while declining consumer appetite for chocolate pummeled demand for cocoa.
