Uranium prices averaged USD 85.23 per pound in March, down 3.9% from February. On 31 March, the commodity traded at USD 84.00 per pound, down 2.7% from 27 February.
Uranium was one of only three energy commodities we cover whose average price declined in March, reflecting an increase in output in Uzbekistan amid the fuel’s relatively inelastic demand and supply. March’s pullback may also reflect the view of some analysts that January’s price spike was partly due to investor exuberance.
