Cocoa prices averaged USD 3,235 per metric ton in March, down 9.8% from February. On 31 March, the commodity traded at USD 3,182 per metric ton, up 10.0% from 27 February.
In March, cocoa prices fell for the third consecutive month, easing to their lowest average since June 2023. The decline was due to sluggish demand, surging cocoa inventories and expectations of a bumper harvest in West Africa.
