Coffee prices averaged USD 380 cents per pound in May, up 0.5% from April. On 30 May, the commodity traded at USD 356 cents per pound, down 10.6% from 30 April.
Prices for arabica coffee rose on average in May on weaker exports from Brazil and drier-than-usual weather in the country’s key producing region. That said, markets expect rising U.S. tariffs to cap demand, which likely tempered May’s price rise.
