Palm oil prices averaged USD 1,351 per metric ton in February, up 5.0% from January. On 27 February, the commodity traded at USD 1,275 per metric ton, down 1.9% from 30 January.
In February, palm oil prices averaged the highest since September 2025 amid supply concerns. Markets expected floods in Malaysia’s Sabah region and fewer working days due to the Lunar New Year to have curbed production. Still, a stronger ringgit and softening palm oil demand will have restrained the increase.
