Alumina Prices

Alumina prices averaged USD 357 per metric ton in May, up 3.8% from April. On 30 May, the commodity traded at USD 363 per metric ton, up 4.4% from 30 April.

Prices rose in May for the first time since last November as the effect of recent supply improvements faded and demand conditions improved. A 90-day reduction in U.S.-China reciprocal tariffs and ongoing trade talks between the two countries lifted market sentiment.
