Aluminium Prices

Aluminium prices averaged USD 2,819 per metric ton in November, up 0.9% from October. On 28 November, the commodity traded at USD 2,842 per metric ton, down 1.3% from 31 October.

Average aluminium prices rose for the third consecutive month in November. On the demand front, expectations of Fed rate cuts at December’s meeting likely fueled momentum at the start of the month. On the supply front, expectations of Chinese curbs on aluminum production and the delayed construction of smelters in Indonesia due to higher energy costs and regulatory hurdles further buttressed prices.
