The crack spread—diesel’s price premium over crude—widened further to a 26-month high in November. A host of recent developments have threatened supply: Outages at refineries, Ukrainian strikes on Russian refineries, fresh U.S. sanctions on Russian oil majors, and Indian refiners ditching Russian crude to appease the U.S.
