Natural Gas EU Prices

Natural gas EU prices averaged USD 11.16 per MMBtu in August, down 3.9% from July. On 29 August, the commodity traded at USD 10.85 per MMBtu, down 8.3% from 31 July.

Average prices fell to a 13-month low in August, with EU storage 78% full on the final day of the month—above the 10-year average excluding the two years following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. With two months of additional builds left, EU member states seem on track to reach the goal for 90% storage by 1 December.
