Uranium prices averaged USD 78.87 per pound in December, up 2.2% from November. On 31 December, the commodity traded at USD 81.60 per pound, up 7.2% from 28 November.
Uranium prices resumed the uptrend in place since April over the past month; Sprott, owner of the world’s top uranium fund, raised its holdings of the metal by 1.2% in December. Over 2025, uranium prices rose 11.9%, with the metal seen as a means to meet electricity demand from AI without stoking greenhouse gas emissions.
