Austria: Industrial output dips in February
Latest reading: Industrial output dropped 1.0% in month-on-month seasonally adjusted terms in February (January: +3.9% mom s.a.). Looking at the details of the release, capital goods output swung to contraction and intermediate goods production decelerated. That said, durable consumer goods output rebounded.
On an annual basis, industrial production rose at a softer pace of 1.8% in February (January: +2.0% yoy). Meanwhile, the trend improved sizably, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 3.0% in February, up from January’s minus 3.7% reading.
