Belarus: Industrial output growth remained underwhelming in March
Latest reading: Industrial production growth inched up to 2.1% year on year in March (February: +2.0% yoy), remaining one of the softest rates since the pandemic. Looking at the details of the release, weaker readings for manufacturing production and water supply were only partially outweighed by faster momentum in energy output plus mining and quarrying.
Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average growth of industrial production coming in at an over one-year low of 5.7%, down from February’s 6.0%.
