Belarus: Industrial output loses slight momentum in December
Latest reading: Industrial output growth edged down to 5.4% year on year in December (November: +5.5% yoy), marking the joint-weakest reading in 2024. Looking at the details of the release, softer increases in energy production plus mining and quarrying drove the slowdown. Meanwhile, growth in the manufacturing and water supply sectors was stable in December.
As a result, the trend pointed down, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at 6.7% in December, down from November’s 6.9% reading.
