Belarus: Industrial output records slowest expansion since January in September
Latest reading: Industrial output increased 6.4% in year-on-year terms in September, deteriorating from August’s 7.1% increase. September’s outturn marked the worst reading since January. Looking at the details of the release, the deterioration was broad-based, with softer momentum noted in energy supply, manufacturing plus mining and quarrying, and a contraction in water supply.
Accordingly, annual average industrial production growth fell to 7.2% in September (August: +7.3%), signaling a worsening trend in the industrial sector.
