Belarus: Inflation drops to a joint-one-year low in November
Latest reading: Inflation fell to 5.5% in November from October’s 5.9%, marking the joint-lowest result in a year. Looking at the details of the release, the drop was underpinned by softer price pressures for food and non-alcoholic beverages, housing and utilities plus clothing and footwear. That said, transportation costs rose at a faster rate.
Meanwhile, the trend pointed up slightly, with annual average inflation ticking up to 5.8% in November (October: 5.6%).
Lastly, consumer prices rose 0.30% in November over the previous month, cooling from October’s 0.50% increase.
