Belarus: Inflation edges down in September
Latest reading: Inflation ticked down to 6.0% in September from August’s 6.1%. Looking at the details of the release, softer price pressures for housing and utilities, as well as transport, narrowly outweighed a faster increase in prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages plus textiles.
Meanwhile, the trend pointed up, with annual average inflation coming in at 5.6% in September (August: 5.2%).
Finally, consumer prices increased 0.40% from the previous month in September, contrasting August’s 0.10% drop.
