Belarus: Inflation stable in January
Latest reading: Inflation was stable at December’s 5.2% in January, marking the joint-lowest result since October 2023. Looking at the details of the release, a softer increase in transport prices broadly offset faster price pressures for housing.
Meanwhile, the trend pointed down slightly, with annual average inflation ticking down to 5.6% in January (December: 5.7%).
