Belgium: Industrial output growth speeds up in September
Latest reading: Industrial output rose 0.4% in month-on-month seasonally adjusted terms in September, which followed August’s 0.3% increase. September’s growth rise was largely due to improvements in manufacturing production and energy output.
On an annual basis, factory output increased 6.0% in September, which was significantly better than August’s 4.5% expansion and marked the best result since November 2022. Moreover, the trend improved significantly, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 4.1% in September, up from August’s minus 6.0%.
