Bulgaria: Industrial output dips in January
Latest reading: Industrial output dropped 3.5% in year-on-year terms in January, which was a deterioration from December’s 2.3% decrease. Looking at the details of the release, output in both manufacturing and mining swung to contraction.
On a monthly basis, industrial output dropped 2.0% in seasonally adjusted terms in January, a less pronounced decrease than December’s 2.2% fall. Meanwhile, the trend improved, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 2.7%, up from December’s minus 3.1% reading.
