Bulgaria: Inflation increases in October
Latest reading: Inflation rose to 1.8% in October, following September’s 1.2%. The uptick was broad-based, with greater price pressures recorded for food and non-alcoholic beverages, housing and utilities, and transportation.
Annual average inflation fell to 2.9% in October (September: 3.2%). Meanwhile, harmonized inflation rose to 2.0% in October from September’s 1.5%.
Lastly, consumer prices rose 1.10% in October over the previous month, swinging from September’s 1.04% drop. October’s uptick was the highest reading since January 2023.
