Costa Rica: Economic activity growth improves in September
Latest reading: Economic activity rose 3.6% year on year in September (August: +2.3% yoy). September’s improvement was largely driven by upturns in the agriculture, forestry and fishing and manufacturing sectors.
Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average growth of economic activity coming in at an over one-year low of 4.3%, down from August’s 4.5% reading. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, economic activity rose at a faster rate of 0.4% in September (August: +0.1% mom).
