Croatia: Industrial output expands at quickest pace since June 2021 in January
Latest reading: Industrial output grew 7.6% year on year in working-day adjusted terms in January (December: +5.4% yoy). January’s figure marked the best reading since June 2021. The upturn was driven by accelerating manufacturing production. On the flip side, mining and quarrying output shrank.
Meanwhile, the trend improved sizably, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 1.7%, up from December’s minus 2.4% reading. On a monthly basis, factory output rose 2.1% in seasonally adjusted terms in January, which was notably below December’s 6.3% expansion.
