Croatia: Harmonized inflation recedes in March
Latest reading: Harmonized inflation dropped to 4.3% in March, following February’s 4.8%. Looking at the details of the release, prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages rose at a more moderate rate in March while prices for transportation dropped after rising in the previous month.
The trend was unchanged, with annual average harmonized inflation coming in at February’s 4.0% in March. Meanwhile, consumer price inflation fell to 3.2% in March from February’s 3.7%.
Lastly, harmonized consumer prices rose 0.45% in March over the previous month, accelerating from the 0.01% rise recorded in February. March’s result marked the highest reading since October 2024.
