Croatia: Harmonized inflation falls to lowest level since July 2021 in August
Latest reading: Harmonized inflation ticked down to 3.0% in August, which followed July’s 3.3%. August’s reading represented the lowest inflation rate since July 2021. The reading was driven by falling prices for transportation and housing and utilities.
Accordingly, the trend pointed down, with annual average harmonized inflation coming in at 4.8% in August (July: 5.3%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation fell to 1.7% in August from the previous month’s 2.2%.
Lastly, harmonized consumer prices rose 0.11% in August over the previous month, moderating from July’s 1.02% rise. August’s result marked the weakest reading since January.
