Croatia: Harmonized inflation comes in at highest level since May in October
Latest reading: Harmonized inflation came in at 3.6% in October, which was up from September’s 3.1%. October’s figure was the highest inflation rate since May. The increase was broad-based, with greater price pressures recorded for food and non-alcoholic beverages, transportation, and housing and utilities.
That said, the trend pointed down, with annual average harmonized inflation coming in at 4.2% in October (September: 4.5%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation rose to 2.3% in October from September’s 1.6%.
Finally, harmonized consumer prices increased 0.77% in October over the previous month, contrasting September’s 0.55% fall.
