Croatia: Harmonized inflation accelerates to six-month high in November
Latest reading: Harmonized inflation came in at 4.0% in November, up from October’s 3.6%. November’s figure was the highest inflation rate since May. Looking at the details of the release, housing and utilities returned to growth following the previous month’s decline. Moreover, prices for transportation declined at a more moderate rate. Meanwhile, the change in prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages was broadly stable in November, and prices for recreation grew at a more subdued pace.
Annual average harmonized inflation edged down to 4.1% in November (October: 4.2%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation rose to 2.7% in November from October’s 2.3%.
Finally, harmonized consumer prices dropped 0.02% in November over the previous month, contrasting October’s 0.77% rise.
