Cyprus: Industrial output grows at quickest pace since June 2024 in January
Latest reading: Industrial output rose 4.9% year on year in calendar-adjusted terms in January (December: +1.8% c.a. yoy). The print marked the best reading since June 2024. The upturn came on the back of upturns in manufacturing and mining and quarrying production.
Meanwhile, annual average industrial production growth rose to 2.6% in January (December: +2.3%). This signals an improving trend in the industrial sector. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial production rose at a softer pace of 1.1% in January (December: +3.4% mom s.a.).
