Cyprus: Harmonized inflation falls to lowest level since October 2024 in March
Latest reading: Harmonized inflation came in at 2.1% in March, which was down from February’s 2.3%. March’s result marked the lowest inflation rate since October 2024. The reading was driven by softer price pressures for transportation. That said, prices for housing and utilities plus hospitality rose at a faster clip.
Annual average harmonized inflation rose to 2.4% in March (February: 2.3%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation fell to 1.6% in March from February’s 1.9%.
Finally, harmonized consumer prices increased 0.52% in March over the previous month, accelerating from the 0.27% increase seen in February. March’s figure marked the highest reading since August 2024.
