Cyprus: Harmonized inflation stable October
Latest reading: Harmonized inflation came in at 1.6% in October, unchanged from September’s reading. Stronger price pressures for food offset steeper declines in prices for housing and for transportation.
Annual average harmonized inflation edged down to 2.2% in October (September: 2.3%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation fell to 0.6% in October from September’s 0.7%.
Lastly, harmonized consumer prices dropped 0.19% in October over the previous month, a more moderate decrease than the 0.39% drop seen in September.
