Czech Republic: Industrial output swings to contraction in September
Latest reading: Industrial production fell 1.1% month on month in seasonally adjusted terms in September (August: +1.8% s.a. mom). Looking at the details of the release, the notable deterioration largely reflected a worsening in manufacturing plus mining and quarrying output.
On an annual basis, factory output rose at a softer pace of 0.9% in calendar-adjusted terms in September (August: +1.5% yoy). Still, the trend improved, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 0.9%, up from August’s minus 1.4% reading.
