Czech Republic: Industrial output records largest drop in 10 months in January
Latest reading: Industrial output fell 0.3% in month-on-month seasonally adjusted terms in January, which contrasted December’s 1.9% increase. The drop was chiefly driven by a contraction in manufacturing production. In contrast, mining and quarrying plus energy supply rebounded.
On an annual basis, industrial production dropped 0.6% in calendar-adjusted in January, improving notably from December’s 2.7% fall. Meanwhile, annual average of industrial production was 0.9% in January, matching December’s figure.
