Denmark: Economic sentiment deteriorates in October
Latest reading: Economic sentiment fell to 103.6 in October from September’s 104.7. Consequently, the index remained above the long-term average of 100, pointing to a positive near-term outlook for the economy.
The headline print reflected deteriorating confidence in the industrial sector and weaker consumer sentiment. That said, October saw rebounding confidence in the retail sector, stronger confidence in the services sector, and healthier sentiment in the construction sector.
Relating to indicators that are not used to calculate the index, employment expectations were healthier, while the economic uncertainty index rose in October.
