Dominican Republic: Economic activity growth almost flatlines in February
Latest reading: Economic activity growth fell to 0.7% in February in annual terms, down from January’s 2.2%. Looking at preliminary data, the moderation was broad-based: Momentum in the agricultural, manufacturing and services sectors eased from the prior month, and activity in the construction and mining sectors shrank at a sharper pace compared to the prior month.
The trend pointed down, with the annual average growth of economic activity coming in at 4.2% in February from 4.7% in January.
