Dominican Republic: Economic activity growth cools in November
Latest reading: Economic activity expanded 3.9% compared to the same month of the previous year in November, which followed October’s 5.5% increase. Looking at preliminary data, the construction sector swung into decline and manufacturing output lost momentum. Meanwhile, the services sector continued growing at a stable pace, and activity in the agricultural and mining sectors expanded at a sharper rate.
The trend eased modestly, with the annual average growth of economic activity coming in at 5.1%, down from October’s 5.3%.
